Beautiful. Love the contrasting green and red! (the forest green that is!) The cape is just perfect! And those shoes make me swoon every time and click on the link and, well, just look :-(. I have a hard time buying shoes online!
I may have to get my husband to crochet me a cape like that, I think!
of course one can never have too many capes! it's nice to have one in ever possible color, print and knit. i like how this new one is loosely knit because it shows off the dress underneath. i really love the last photo in this set- so pretty. ~joelle
So whimsical! The cape is lovely. The red tights and your photo location make this outfit feel fanciful/ almost like something out of a Grimm's fairy tale.
Hehe! I just stopped by because I found a cape that reminded me of your Chictopia one but this one has cute little hearts on it and it reminded me of you. http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=39019297
I had to laugh about your mom's comment- I get the same thing from my husband! He asked me today how many boots I thought I really needed. Tough question.
Rebecca, you pictures get better and better. I love them so much. So inspiring. That cape is beautiful. I must ask my momma to make me one :)
My fav pic is the last one.... it kinda reminds me of the scene where Bella and Edward are laying down together in their meadow. Yah, I'm a Twilight nerd.. ha ha.
Haha, I love your mom's response. My mom loves shopping maybe even more than I do, so if anything it's usually my father who's like, 'What?? Another one?' and then my mom and I are a total united force against my dad and crush him to metaphorical, sartorial pieces! That sounded way more diabolical than I meant. And your cape is awesome (both of them!)
Gorgeous pictures, I am on the lookout for a cape at the moment! Yours is one of the most inspirational blogs I've ever seen. Whenever I come on here, I instantly want to go and get dressed up! ♥
i have a gray ruffle-y wooly one i've been waiting for just the right moment to wear now and i think i've been inspired by your darling post today. thanks, girlie! :)
Wherever you are, it is absolutely gorgeous and lush and green! Jealous! I must say, I have never tried a cape, but as you make it look so good, I'm going to have to try it! You look lovely.
Hello . . . I guess I was a bit stealthy when I took your photo. I really liked that you weren't facing me, though, as well as the background. That's why I took it from that angle. Anyway, as for you love of capes . . . I am sure you loved Sartorialist's recent posts on them.
Must procure cape immediatly before spring/summer sets in for real. These photos are all lovely. especially the first and last. You are so creative with your shoots! -indigo
Lovely photos! The contrast of colors between the thights and these plants (which name I don't know in english) is really good! Last photo is stunning!
The photo by the Photodiarist above looks exactly like a short out of an old black and white movie. So beautiful and timeless.
Ok Back to current post. I wish your dress was not vintage and that I could go to a store and buy the exact same ones. Because they are soooo beautiful.
Stunning color in those pictures--the green of the ferns and red of the tights just POP right off the screen! Also, I adore the black and white picture of your blogger trio, and thanks for the post on the shoes--I wish I could get my hands on a pair or two :)
The red against the green foliage looks amazing! I love the C19th prints above. I remember seeing the actual shoes in a museum in London once, so beautiful too!
Again, I love everything about your photoshoots...
In response to your shoe post above... I've been on a shoe kick lately, too. I finally caved and bought the Vivienne Westwood Anglomania+Melissa plastic shoes... and when I did, I found them at 50% off! SCORE! They are just as delightful as they look.
They look like Barbie shoes when you look at them in the box, and there is a strong fragrance of bubblegum emanating from the PVC, but once worn, they are definitely the most dainty, adorable things on my feet. And they're surprisingly much more comfortable than one would initially think, donning plastic shoes.
I think I'm hooked.
Ironically, they don't look much different than some of the bowed wonders you posted in the shoe post.
Hey, R, I'm hosting a giveaway of a $359 professional ceramic straightening iron. If you're interested, why don't you come by and check it out??
I love how vivd the tights are and how well this whole outfit goes together. P.S. I love the b/w photo above this and the victorian shoes and the girl's rings!

I had to laugh about your mom's comment- I get the same thing from my husband! He asked me today how many boots I thought I really needed. Tough question.

So cute! Like little red riding hood, except with the red in the wrong place in the outfit. But still.
