Umama tagged me to list 10 honest (and unknown?) facts about myself:
1. I still don't know "what I want to be when I grow up..."
2. If I'm feeling antisocial I don't answer my phone.
3. I hate when people assume I'm a girly-girly; I'm not.
4. I can get nervous from the most random things--like being in the front of a long checkout line.
5. I love to travel, especially to new places, but I hate flying alone.
6. Since I learned about the various transgressions by the CEO of American Apparel I have been on a shopping ban of that store (since December).
7. Random facts remain in my memory indefinitely.
8. I don't mind washing dishes, but I hate drying them.
9. I've never had a manicure, pedicure, or any number of other small pampering acts.
10. This is the first tag I've done in ages, even though I have been tagged dozens of times...I get lazy and distracted when it comes to tags.

your blog is darling!
love the seahorse ring!
would you be gracious enough to exchange links with me?
xx
I find myself thinking these very same things!! haha :)
I love each and every one of these photos... they are completely perfect and gorgeous!!!
Oh, I love the yellow dress!
Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't know what to be "when I grow up". I love your yellow dress! It's so gorgeous!!!
oh my word that ring!!! and I love the vintage dress xx
I love that yellow dress! It suits you well. And that blue nail polish is really pretty. Just the right shade of blue I think (I'm very picky about different shades of blue...).
I must ask, where have gotten that blue nail polish?
Ok... so maybe this yellow dress is my favorite. I love yellow with aqua. So fresh. :) Happy Fourth!
I love that yellow dress and seahorse ring! Adorable. :)
i love the pictures with the yellow dress!
Happy 4th dear CH!
Lovely yellow dress and teal flats... I don't answer my phone when I'm feeling anti-social either. I can't fake small talk very well :)
I love your mum's floral scarf and those turquoise flats. I hope I can find them here...
the yellow dress looks great on you :)

thought you may appreciate the cartoon it's funny.
enjoy your weekend
that seahorse ring is amazing, it's so pretty x
That yellow dress is so beautiful, and just suits you perfectly. The wonders of finding the right vintage dress.. which is are sooo good at!
Loving the random facts, always fun. I do the same with my phone sometimes and I hate drying dishes too! ;)
Have a great weekend darling! x
I love the yellow dress with green shoes!
The yellow dress is beautiful and I love your neckerchief scarf. x
i love those shoes! i'm not too keen on american apparel anymore, partly because of those reasons too. but also because in england it is ridiculously overpriced and quite poor quality. i find the whole image they try to create quite repulsive, the people who work in the shops are only chosen because they are sexy and hip. i'm all for selling a lifestyle, as many stores try to do, but i'm not too keen on AAs.
I love that last photo of you. It's really lovely. The dress is so pretty on you. I've heard so many bad things about AA, I'm off to read up on those articles.
Yeah, I remember reading that story about the American Apparel CEO when it came out a few years ago. No denying that guy is sketchy.
I also get nervous at random times, like when the phone is ringing after I've called someone but before they've answered, even if it's someone I've called a million times!
I love the blue nail polish and seahorse ring...perfect together :)
Re: #6-- I used to be friends with his cousin, and even SHE said he was a total douchebag.
lovely outfits! I especially like the seahorse ring...I need more unique pieces of jewelry like that. Yay for taking pictures in beautiful forests too! I feel like going for a hike right now actually...
the yellow dress with the seafoam green shoes might very well be one of my favorites you've sported! So feminine and cute.
American Apparel is pretty shady. They shamelessly target our demographic and I hate the people think they're cool or subversive by wearing it. That's also how I feel about Urban Outfitters, but once I read about--not the CEO, but the guy who owns it--I wanted to shop there more. I don't have a link--I think nymag did something on it, but they mysteriously pulled a pro gay marriage t-shirt and then journalists starting talking about how the guy who started urban outfitters is a right-wing activist who donates millions of dollars to conservative causes. Which I think is hilarious and ironic and it makes me want to shop there even more. The end.
also: that is so so cool that you lived in hawaii! We went there on our honeymoon.
That first series has such lovely summery scenery, and I love that seahorse ring in the second! Those were some interesting facts about you, I also HATE flying by myself but strangely enough I much prefer drying than washing! Hehe! ^_^!
Love that ring... You look beautiful and very happy :-D - loved the tag. know what u mean about AA... Xxxc
The seahorse is fab!
I feel ya on most of these facts!! One of these days, I will have a spa day! But until then, I'd rather spend the money on shoes ehehe. I love your yellow dress by the way. So perfect for summer
Being in the front of long lines at checkouts is definitely nerve wracking; I end up scrambling for money while making awkward loud jokes with the cashier and then trying to stuff all my change back into my tiny purse and gather together all purchases before fleeing the store as quickly as possible. And in the end, I'm sure that no one else in the line ever really cares how long I take!
I love your yellow dress in the second series of photographs. I remember seeing it before and falling in love with it; it really is perfect on you.
I remember a lot of random facts, too. Did you know that if you touch an item that you're interested in you're 43% more likely to buy it?
Your seahorse ring is some serious fun! :)
oh my that yellow dress is so perfect! you look like a doll!
your ring is great!
and i agree with #8
http://fashionhandglide.blogspot.com
You look a dream in that yellow dress. It fits you so perfectly it looks tailored! That's interesting you don't see yourself as a "girly girl" - judging solely on your posts and outfits, I would have thought you were.
Gosh, I feel I can relate to almost every single one of your honest facts! When I don't feel like talking (and being shy, this happens too much), I sometimes "hide" my phone under my pillow so I don't even have to hear it ring. Stupid, huh? And I'm with you about the love for travel, but hating flying alone. Airports intimidate me.
I will have to check out the news about AA. Thanks for sharing!
I really love your photos! Also love your Etsy ring. It's so adorable.
I agree with: "3. I hate when people assume I'm a girly-girly; I'm not."
it's really hard for me to ban AA because i think charney's pro-labor policies are quite groundbreaking. BUT i hate the sexualized nature of the ads and his misconduct .. i havent bought anything from there in a long time, but i cant say for certain i'm on a ban.
I Love Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, I have one, his name is Luka.
You can often find awesome things at www.15dollarstore.com and www.shopknowlabel.com that I think are up your alley.
I really wish people could comprehend the difference between ladylike and girly...it is annoying.
You look so nice in yellow it makes me crave some for myself. I am pessimistic that it will match my colouring though :(
I think your first outfit is one of my favorites I have seen you in. Love the seahorse!
I love your outfits, especially the blue/green ish shoes!!
That yellow dress is simply beautiful! I enjoyed reading your answers and I've never had any pedicure, manicure either! xxoxoxoxo
those pictures are beautiful.
and your 10 honest things about you.
i am the same with number 4 and many other things.
hehe.
x
pretty yellow dress..!!
love that you paired with green peep toe flats
hope you had a great 4th of july ..

you are too adorable. hope you are having a good fourth of july, my dear!
oh I need the seahorse ring! So gorgeous....and I need that yellow dress too:P
flying alone really isn't fun, especially if you're goin to a faraway place.
Thank you!
Lovely pics!
And the ring is amazing!
People often assume that I'm super girly, but I'm not, though I might LOOK girly...
I'm in love the with second outfit. Especially the seahorse ring!
I had no idea about American Apparel. I've never shopped there though. I've actually never even seen an American Apparel, or Urban Outfitters for that matter, store.
I've only gotten one manicure and I chose to get my nails painted black.
I like the seahorse ring.
The seashorse ring is AMAZING! I also like the second outfit a lot. The yellow dress works really well with your turquoise flats :D
You've never had a manicure but your nail polish in all your posts are amazing! The ring is so unique. I love it.
<3
Amazing outfits! You look so cute!
Love the header!
Nice photo's too
Ah I love the combi of yellow & blue! & I love how you wear your scarf.
I dontknw what I want to be when I grow up too :(
love the honest facts!! gorgeous dresses are always :)
That was a lovely tag. You should do them more often. Although I only identified with one - number six, it was lovely to learn some honest scrap about yourself. Oh, and I am entirely bewitched by that fourth photo of yourself, with the sun reflecting off your bangle. You can't have taken that yourself, can you??? x
What a great dresses
and
J'adore the nail polish. What's the brand?
XoXO
Never thought you are a girly girly girl ;-)
agree with most of your list! except I prefer to dry dishes :) and I still buy my t shirts from AA
I'm just in love with your vintage dress, it's perfect. Peter Pan collar, a lot of fringe, it's.. YELLOW.. :)
Love both your outfits with a special mention for the modern take on the old Art Deco symbol that is the sea-horse.
And yes, Dov Charney of Am App seems to be quite a piece of work! But we do tend to forgive all sorts of excentricities to very successful creatively gifter people like him. I can see why but, like you, I'm not sure that's quite right.
I also nearly never do tags ;). I love your Etsy ring in the second look. It's so cute!
I've never had a manicure either. I love your yellow dress. The seahorse ring is so fun.
Very well done tag and beautiful facts!
Loving the dress too.
Those photos are so lovely! The light and your pretty outfits - gorgeous! I've never had a manicure or any of thta sort of thing either - I've also only been to the hairdresser once in my entire life - hairdressers make me nervous!!
You looks amazingly cute:) Like your outfits and thoughts!

What a cute post! It's interesting to find out things about the "soul" behind this great blog!
OH MY GOSH I LOVE THAT YELLOW DRESS!! It is SO CUTE!
And ew to the CEO of AA. I mean some of it it's whatever, but some of it is kind of strange. (Though I am willing to bet that at least of those woman are just being bitches who want money).
And I know what you mean about number 4. I feel the same way!
i love the yellow dress! :o...
omg your green shoes are lovely, I want them
i had self pampering...I like to get a bit messy so no manis and pedis for me
I hate washing dishes, but don't mind drying them, how ironic
sometimes I ignore certain friends when they call if I feel antisocial too haha
i get nervous when i'm in front of long of checkout lines as well.
i also adore that yellow dress. so gorgeous.
so glad you did the tag!! I love learning all these random things... they are the most interesting! I can say the same for many of them too!
Fun tag! I love that seahorse ring and your outfits are gorgeous.
You look stunning in that yellow dress! I love the details on the top of it. And as a plus, it looks like it would be fun to spin in! (And who doesn't love that?) The shoes are also adorable. Thanks for your lovely comment and for reading my story...I really appreciate it. (I think Ellen would be your friend, too.)
Yeh i agree with your 1st and 2nd. I just ignore my phone calls when i don't feel like talking, my friends gets all pissy after that haha.
Wow i love your dresses and that sea horse ring is so lush!
Beautiful outfits as always :)
I noticed that too but only after I'd published my blog post. I found that kind of odd. I was thinking it was maybe a head wrap?
love your dresses ! perfect ! the ring's gorgeous :D
Where is this field??
what a cute outfit! i love the ring!
I'm completely the same about dishes! Why can't i just leave them to drip dry...?!
and that yellow dress outfit is so gorgeous.
Great outfits! I love love the sea horse ring!
I've never had a manicure/pedicure/anything like that either.
Its nice to know a bit more about you!
That yellow dress is fabulously gorgeous! :)
I absolutely lovvee the yelow dress with mint(?) shoes... amazing coloures.
Youre pictures are beautiful !
You changed your layout... And I L.O.V.E. it. As well as your pictures. But this is nothing unusual here... :)
Love, Dotti
Oh my goodness. That seahore ring and yellow dress are probably the two cutest pieces I've ever seen you wear. So perfect!
P.S. -Despite questionable moral, I still love AA. Their clothes are just too good for me to deny!
I am in love with that yellow dress. Probably because I'm too lazy to sew that many pleats when I'm making dresses. :-/
Absolutely gorgeous pictures!!!
oh my gosh, that second outfit is the sweetest! the dress is so quaint and pretty and the ring is adorable.
The seahorse ring is adorable! I love the header for the site too!

love your ring! I actually love flying/traveling alone. It makes me feel independant.

What a lovely ring! And regarding the "when I grow up" matter - please become some sort of artist. You are so talented at it. I have little to no artistic talent, and it would really break my heart if I saw someone who had it waste it.
gorgeous pictures, hun! xx.
I love your outfits they're so pretty! The photos of you in the field are so summery.

@Tiny Dancer,
I mixed the nail polish myself from several shades--there's no exact recipe.
Not to sound preachy or anything, but since you are banning yourself from shopping AA based on the transgressions of it's CEO, it might interest you to know of the transgressions of the president of Urban Outiftters, Richard Hayne, namely being a "conservative capitalist entrepreneur" who donated money to Prop 8.

Since learning this, I've been on a UO ban, and it's kind of been a breath of fresh air.
I have been lurking on your blog for awhile now and finally just had to say that I love your fresh, clean sense of style and your honesty! Thank you for sharing yourself with readers and admirers like myself! Not to mention that seeing how you work with clothes has helped me solve some of my own sartorial conundrums...thanks and keep up the wonderful work!
really cute dress
You are darling!!
Truly beautiful photographs and outfits!
really lovely outfits and pictures and you look so pie i can't stand it!
I love your 4th of July outfit! and we definitely share many of the same honest qualities!
