Vanquished

This illustration by JC Leyendecker seems appropriate to my current position.
P.S. It has already snowed since I arrived here in Washington State. Brrr...

Nice poster! I'm glad you're safely in the states! Has it already been two days since your last post? Oh my gosh. It's been raining here. Uck. At least snow is pretty!

It's been snowing here in Alberta, as well as being frigidly cold. I think todays high is -23C (or -9F). Yikes!

What a gorgeous illustration. Even though it hasn't been snowing here in Melbourne - it definitely has been cold and raining - in summer :(

welcome back! It was fun to read about your adventures. I hope you enjoyed your stay, it seemed like you had a lot of fun! I'm jealous of all the snow in the Seattle area, living in calli now is so much different from what i was used to for 28 years.

I went out to dinner with some friends on Saturday, and it began to snow when we got to the restaurant. By the time we were on the bus, on the way back (like 2, 3 hours later) the bus couldn't go up a hill and left us stranded on a street! It was complete chaos, and finally a nice couple drove us back to our dorms in their van. i don't know what we would have done otherwise.

I like the picture and I can't wait for it to snow here in NYC but I wouldn't be surprised if we had a snowless winter, today it was 60 degrees F.

I know, I remember that UH flooding very well. I mean, I was frivolously excited to not have class and the surf that weekend was amazing. But yeah...I shouldn't think that way.

But it was sunny today :)

Such a shame that your study abroad session had to come to an end sooner than expected. And the illustration -- haha, wow! Was it something you found randomly or had you seen it before?

Hope you had a safe journey. It is freezing here in Cork, so it might as well just snow!
