Bright Lights, Glam City

If it was possible for me to love Audrey Tautou more then this editorial would make it happen. The bright colors, vivid backdrops, dresses, and fuchsia lips are right up my alley.audrey, tautou, editorialaudrey, tautou, editorialaudrey, tautou, editorial

Did you recognize her? The Sartorialist snaps her again. The side by side comparison is really interesting. Getting photographed by Sart is such a rare honor, anyone jealous of this girl who got snapped twice?the, sartorialistthe, sartorialist

Jonathon Saunders continues to play with colors and drape and I continue to be enthralled. I especially like the fluid necklines.jonathon, saunders, runwayjonathon, saunders, runway

Oh, I adore Audrey Tautou. I can't wait for her next movie where she's Coco Chanel!

And wow, those dresses. So strange and beautiful with the colours and fabrics.

Audrey Tatou looks amazing in these photos. Oh and that girl the Sart chose to feature again, freaking gorgeous. Love the pixie cut she's rocking.

CANT WAIT TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR TRIP TO GREECE - im soo jealous!

Audrey Tatou is lovely. You can tell she is a very kind person, and it's funny that she shares the same first name with Audrey Hepburn because of her shy lovely nature and expressive eyes!
I love the first photo in the Saunders collection. The pink and green contrasts and detail on the unusual bodice are so beautiful!

haha i was just going to mention audrey being in the new face of coco and in the new upcoming biopic. but seeing how EVERYONE knows about that, i guess after this i won't repeat it even if i just discreetly did. and wow, that girl has amazing style, that's why she got snapped TWICE. and i agree, it's an honor..

She definitely deserves to be noticed by the Sart both times. She has a really unique and creative way of styling that is so inspirational. Plus, she loves the bow tie... nice!

KD said...

So far, Jonathan Saunders has been my favorite collection for NY Fashion Week!

Kat said...

Audrey is so sweet, amelie is such a brilliant movie too.
Love that bow tie look, very fun and quirky.
Btw congrats on going to greece, i'm sure it will be amazing:-)

I heart Audrey! She'll always be my favorite in Amelie though with that short hair and silly smile.

I do love Audrey Tattou, and I love the '40s-like styling here. And it is interesting to see the same girl do summer and winter looks.
Oh, and CONGRATULATIONs on going to Greece – that is so exciting! :D

copperoranges said...

this sounds so bs, but i have a friend of a friend who met the sart and said he's a real pretentious ass. HOWEVER he does pick some real lovely ladies to photograph.

i'm so excited for your greek adventures. what are you majoring in that allows you to go to both greece and japan?

AsianCajuns said...

Amelie is one of my favorite films of all times - so of course I love Audrey Tautou. She always seems at ease with herself no matter what she's wearing.

I don't care for Audrey but that is a cute shoot! I like that first dress.

Jonathan Saunders' collection was so beautiful- it really wowed me!

That girl on The Sart really makes me want to get a dickey. Even more than Prada's collection... I'm pretty sure those super-high collared turtlenecks under the lace dresses were dickeys, anyway.

I love Saunders's multicolored dress.

PAM said...

ilove the saunders collection!:)

and that girl posing for the sart is really something! :) her style is amazing!

So cool about Greece. I'll miss your daily fashion posts but I'd love to hear what it's like (from your unique perspective!).

The photo of the black and white stripey dress girl - I was looking for it the other day and couldn't find it. Thanks so much!

Jonathon Saunders dazzles me. I am seeing so much color around. It's a welcome change, considering my much-voiced preference for Color in my world. Heck, the channel I work for is called COLORS!

Sarah said...

OOooo colours colours and more colours I love!I think I prefer this collection from Saunder's more than his previous one. Guess he just keeps getting better!

Plus the lady I love: Audrey Tatou. Can't wait to watch her performance as Madame Coco Chanel.

Eelie said...

Audrey is annoyingly timeless but i like her for that. She manages such an effortless grace and beauty its too much to think about sometimes.

Pretty fusion of colours too on those dresses! So beautiful

Ida said...

I love the fuchsia lips. Stunning editorial.

Sunniva said...

Oh I adore Audrey Tautou, she's gorgeous and with fuchsia lips she looks so stunning!

Love all of the lovely colours Jonathan Saunders has used here!

Imelda Matt said...

Nah! I reckon you could give those Rodarte / Kirkwood heels a red hot go and if not then I'd like to see how you photographed them.

Wasn't there some hoo ha the first time S photographed this girl - or is it that I've seen this picture a million times? I will say that she's rockn' in her second photograph.

Bring on the Chanel biopic...I'll be interested to see how they deal with her Nazi sympathizing.

Susanna-Cole said...

Oh such a cute editorial, I love the bright colors and mood of it! I also noticed that girl who had been snapped twice, she's got pretty amazing style though, so I suppose it's no surprise! :)

And in response to your comment on my blog: No, I haven't seen "Charade", but now I really want to! Thanks for the suggestion! :D

I adore Audrey Tautou. Adore her. Have you seen He Loves Me He Loves Me Not or Priceless? Fantastic films. Mostly the former. The second is a sensational persuasion to become a prostitute. I might move the south of France myself and--well, anyway. she's adorable. and timeless.

Snowshoe said...

she looks so amazing... and it's so different from the sort of demure quirkiness of her well known depiction of "amelie". i've really been wanting to find ways to incorporate the circus into my wardrobe. and clowns. but clowns like charlie chaplin and the ones that Lautrec painted... very inspirational. and i'm loving nothing more than red red lipstick right now.

bronwyn said...

I love the bright acidy colours in the Jonathan saunders collection, very eye catching.

Noël said...

I love pink and green together: that Jonathan Saunders dress with the acid green skirt is awesome.
