Although I recently picked up the film from the library, I accidentally requested it in VHS rendering it useless to me. However, hazy memories of the plot and images via the web might be influencing my style anyway. High ponytail? Check. 60s sheath dress? Check. Now if I just had a beach to laze around on and a Moondoggie to pine over we would be set...

hmm i've never seen that movie! Cute dress! I've been looking a lot at eBay lately too but I'm always concerned I'll buy something and be disappointed with the actual thing. Have you had a lot of luck with them?

I love the bangles, so pretty! I'd probably be hoarding summer stuff too if there was any point...I mean we had thunder and lightening last night! I know what you mean about anecdotes, or hearing a bit about where the clothes are from or what they mean to the person or even just where they're gooing and what they're doing! I think I'm probably the worst for giving you guys boring pictures (ie in my living room) which don't mean anything! Char x

oh yeah, Gidget was my favorite movie growing up! I loved all the "stunts" on the surfboards. The round bangs, the perfect ponytails, or low pigtails, all the faux-boaty gear. AND the amazing bathing suits. I still search for them. you would have fit in perfectly...
Ooh I should look into downloading that. My fave escapist summer movie is Y Tu Mama Tambien. It just makes me miss Mexico terribly.

GIDGET! Thats one of my favorite chilhood movies!! As my sisters and I were growing up we were only allowed to watch old movies and musicals! Hmmm I think you would really like Bye Bye Birdie. If you haven't already seen it, it is a def. must see!

"honest to goodness it's the absolute ultimate!" I adore that movie. The series wasn't so good, but I found the movie adorablleee. The main squeeze is so hot and the clothes are mouthwatering.
