Sweet Wishes, Spring Kisses

Thanks so much to everyone's kind comments yesterday. I am feeling much better today--it might have been the vitamin enhanced water that was urged on me by friends... The bright sunshine and warm weather was also helpful. I took a wonderful walk with a friend enjoying the great outdoors.
As it was April Fool's Day yesterday and that also happened to be my friend's birthday--in the tradition of my school we "creeked" him, which entails carrying the birthday victim down to the creek on campus and throwing them in. Thankfully, he did not overly protest (occasionally people must be duct-taped) and was not injured in the "fling" either. theclotheshorse, personal, style, fashion, cheap, chic, nauticaltheclotheshorse, personal, style, fashion, nautical, thrifted, vintage, cheap, chic
Over the weekend I finally picked up some white sneakers (that every Swedish blogger worth their salt owns) and they do add a dash of pizazz to every outfit. I like how bright and clean they are when I look down.theclotheshorse, personal, style, daily, outfit, fashion, suspenders, skirt, braces, glassestheclotheshorse, personal, style, daily, outfit, fashion, skirt, suspenders

If you're anything like me and do alot of walking, those shoes won't stay white for long. Fortunately they can just be chucked in the washing machine!
Glad to hear you're feeling better too.

You look great in your new sneakers. I'm glad you're feeling better.

People at my school used to do the same thing, though it was called "laking," because the school was near Lake Michigan. About six big guys dragged the same guy to the lake once a year in spring, and in he went, ostensibly on the grounds that he was a p.i.t.a. to all of us all year long, and deserved it. Many of us egged the guys doing the "laking" on. We were awful. We're all probably doomed now.

'occassionally people must be duct-taped'- that's hilarious! I just hope they're somewhat pre-warned, imagine wearing a thoughtfully constructed and/or delicate outfit only to be plunged knee deep in pondwater :o ack!

Hey! You were unwell? Sorry, I did not leave a comment yesterday, though I am glad you are feeling better.

The "creeking" brought back nasty memories of birthday bumps and all that jazz. I guess being dunked in water sure is a great way to mark the day :P

I bought a pair of white sneakers a few weeks ago, but was only able to wear them without risking puddles and dirt today! It is nice, they're so stark and neat.

Glad to hear you are feeling better!

I love the stripey skirt and the suspenders are really cute, too. I never where white shoes, because I'm too afraid of getting them dirty. They look nice, though.

Haha, I count my lucky stars that I don't have my birthday on Valentines Day. And you look very sweet in the second outfit!

White sneakers are indeed a Scandi style essential... in London, they need to be scuffed and mashed-up a bit....
